IMEG offers two plans through Delta Dental of Illinois — The High Plan, Low Plan and HMO Plan*.  Please see your Benefits Guide for plan details and cost. For members who elect either the Dental High Plan option or the Dental Low Plan option, implants will now be covered beginning January 1, 2024. 

Both plans include the following feature:

ToGo Carryover Feature

This a feature that allows you to carry overqualified unused portions of your annual maximum to the next year. Unused amounts added to next year’s maximum benefit. The most you can carry over is equal to whatever that annual maximum is. With the high plan the most you can carry over the course of all the years you’re in the plan is $2,000, under the low plan it is $500. To qualify, you MUST receive services during the year and be covered for the entire year. Carryover doesn’t apply to the ortho lifetime maximum. Additionally, because Delta Dental wants to make sure you’re getting your preventive check-ups, you have to use the plan at least once for that to occur in order to receive the rollover.

Please note: that this rollover can occur for you, your spouse, or any of your kids. Each person has their own maximum that can roll from year to year. Each person in your family should use these services at least once in that given year to trigger the rollover feature. The rollover does not apply to the orthodontist because that’s a lifetime maximum.
